HOW DOES IT WORK?


Similar to the popular television series, teams of two to four people will move from activity to activity. All teams start at the same location (Avery Beach for the spring/summer/fall version) and will finish at our top-secret final location! Teams will be given a map of the location of the activities at the start of the race. Local activity hosts will explain what is involved in each of the activities. All equipment is provided.




HOW FIT DO I NEED TO BE TO PARTICIPATE?


Muskoka's Incredible Race is committed to being accessible to a wide range of ages and abilities. Not all activities require physical fitness. That being said, a moderate activity level is required, as the race course covers approximately 3.4 km. Please let us know if special accomodations are required. We will do our best to ensure that everyone can participate.




WHAT SHOULD I BRING?


Appropriate footwear (running shoes), clothing suitable for the weather and a reusable water bottle. At least one member of each team will need to have a cell phone with them during the race.




HOW WILL MY SAFETY BE ENSURED IN A COVID-19 WORLD?


Muskoka’s Incredible Race takes your concerns re: the safety of your health in a COVID-19 world seriously. Every effort will be made to ensure that you have a safe and fun adventure. All equipment used will be sanitized between uses. Individual teams will have access to their own specific set of materials throughout the race so that the touching of surfaces is minimized. Physical distancing will be maintained at all times and hand sanitizer will be accessible to you throughout the race. Activity hosts will keep a safe physical distance from all participants and will wear masks if a 2 m distance isn't possible. All activities happen outdoors. We are proud to have been awarded a #SafeTravels Stamp by the World Travel and Tourism Council for adopting standardized health and hygiene protocols.




HOW DO GIFT CERTIFICATES WORK?


Gift certificates allow you to purchase free participation in Muskoka's Incredible for the number of people you wish. The cost is $69 per person (taxes included) and can be etransfered to muskokasincrediblerace@gmail.com. Gift certificates are redeemable any year/season. We will mail you the number of gift certificates you require.




HOW MANY TEAMS CAN WE HAVE?


The smaller your team, the more chances you have to participate actively in all of the challenges! Here is the maximum amount of teams we can create for your group: 2-5 people - 1 or 2 teams 6-7 people - 2 or 3 teams 7-9 people - 2, 3 or 4 teams 10+ people - up to 5 teams Please let us know ahead of time how many teams you would like, so that we can arrange equipment and ensure sufficient staffing.




CAN WE BOOK A GROUP OF MORE THAN 5 PEOPLE?


Absolutely! At this time, we can accommodate up to 20 people per race, as it is outdoors and with all COVID protocol in place. When groups are larger than 5 participants, we need to hire more staff, so ask that you contact us directly at muskokasincrediblerace.ca or (705) 571-2491 vs. booking online. We would love to accommodate your large group. The more, the merrier!




WHERE DOES IT START?


The summer/fall version of Muskoka's Incredible Race starts at Avery Beach park, where there is free parking. The winter version starts at Lion's Lookout Field. There is free parking either at the lot behind the field, at the intersection of Camp Kitchen Road and Lookout Point Road or behind the Canada Summit Centre. Note that for the April 2021 version, the starting point will be at Lion's Lookout field. Where it ends ... that's up to you to discover!!
